Explore the endless patterns made possible through the technique of weaving! Create a colorful, pattern-based miniature weaving, focusing on precision of technique to produce a unique miniature weaving. Follow instructor's sample, or design and create your own unique pattern. Construct a simple, portable and versatile cardboard loom. Students will observe how to incorporate different yarns and materials into the weaving, and will be introduced to various weaving techniques and finishing methods. Your one-of-a-kind, original piece can be framed, made into a wall hanging, sewn into clothing, used as a fashion accessory, jewelry and more! Instruction and demonstrations will be provided on threading the loom, designing, weaving technique, finishing and embellishing. Call office for supply list.
