Learn basic techniques of producing digital art work utilizing Adobe Photoshop from a professional digital illustrator! This beginners class covers essential features such as canvas size, resolution, painting tools, brushes, color, important shortcuts, navigating, image size and resolution, color modes, layers, gradients, printing, digital sketching, photographic painting, and much more. Basic concepts will be discussed and demonstrated with plenty of hands-on instruction. During class students will work from a small still life to create their first painting. No previous experience required. Class will explore digital pen and ink, watercolor, oil and acrylic techniques. Drawing skills helpful but not necessary. Computer lab limited to six students at a time. Students wishing to save their work should bring a USB flash drive or blank CD.
