Enjoy a summer of creativity!
Summer Art Adventure is an intensive, “thematic” art education experience for gifted and enthusiastic students ages 5-17.
A dedicated faculty of art education professionals has provided outstanding instruction in a studio environment for 17 years. Weekly themes are carefully designed. Age appropriate projects include drawing, painting, crafts and sculpture for children. For teens, there are projects in jewelry making, ceramics, painting, printmaking, drawing from the figure and portfolio preparation.
Students are engaged in a variety of art processes, which foster individual growth and creative expression. They are grouped with peers, and enrollment is limited. Choose from Early Childhood programs (ages 5-6) or Young Artists (ages 7-12) in one- to five week sessions, Teens (ages 12-14) in two- to four-week sessions, or Teen Portfolio (ages 14-17) in three- to six-week sessions.
Locations: Early Childhood and Young Artists at Elwood Middle School (most rooms have air conditioning), Teen and Teen Portfolio at the Art League (full air conditioning).
