Enjoy a summer of creativity!
The Art League of Long Island is pleased to present the 2014 Summer Art Adventure arts enrichment program, which is now in its nineteenth year. We offer an intensive thematic art education experience for gifted and enthusiastic students ages 5-17. Our dedicated roster of professionals and practicing artists provides outstanding instruction within a materials rich studio environment. Weekly themes are carefully designed. Projects are geared to expand students’ artistic horizons by improving knowledge and skills. The atmosphere is inspiring and fun. A salon-style art exhibit for family and friends is held at the end of each week.
Programs for Early Childhood, Young Artists held off site at Elwood Middle School in air conditioned rooms. Three Teen Sessions and two Teen Portfolio sessions will be held at the Art League Center in our fully air conditioned, state of the art facility.
Age appropriate projects include drawing, painting, crafts and sculpture for children. For teens, there are projects in ceramics, painting, digital art, sculpture, drawing from the figure and portfolio preparation.
Students are engaged in a variety of art processes, which foster individual growth and creative expression. They are grouped with peers, and enrollment is limited. Choose from Early Childhood programs (ages 5-6) or Young Artists (ages 7-12) in one- to four week sessions, Teens (ages 12-14) in two- to four-week sessions, or Teen Portfolio (ages 14-17) in three- to six-week sessions.
